Shoji are the sliding paper doors.
One of our very first projects was to replace the paper on the shoji doors. First, we tried out an iron on version and quickly learned that this was not our best option even though it sounded like the ideal. We ended up using the classic glue on kind. My mom told me that they used to use rice as glue! Putting on the paper wasn't nearly as hard as taking off the old paper! With this one small change to the house, the whole place seems so much brighter! Stay tuned to see our next project!
See? Looks so much nicer now!
